We are committed to providing a transparent Privacy Policy and provide information about what information we collect about you and how we use it.

Information we collect about you

In order for us to take a booking from you, we may collect the following information:-

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone
  • Email
  • Holiday dates
  • Bank details if we need to return your damage deposit by bank transfer (at your request)
  • Cheques received in payment for your stay

How we collect information held about you

We collect information that you provide by telephone, email or booking form, either in paper form or on our website or via a third party such as Home Away Owners Direct. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.  Our electronic files are stored on Microsoft servers held in the UK.  Our paper files are locked in our office, accessed only by us.

How we use your information

We will only use your information in order for us to take a holiday booking from you.  We will use your information to respond to your enquiries, answer your questions or provide quotes.

Personal information will not be passed to third parties unless in the event we have to comply with applicable laws where we are obliged to retain or disclose certain information or in the event we need to address a claim or complaint relating to our services.  In either case you will be informed by us of this passing of information and appropriate investigations will be made of these third parties to ensure they comply with GDPR.

Data Retention

We retain booking forms for a period of one year, in case of repeat booking.

Your Rights

  • You can request sight of the data we hold about you at any time.
  • You can request that your data is deleted at any time.
  • You can request changes to your data at any time.
  • You can ask us to stop sending you mail, or emails, or ask us to stop processing your details at any time

Please note that if you choose to opt out of us contacting you, there may be instances where it becomes necessary for us to communicate with you, in any event, for reasons of legitimate interest, administrative or legal reasons.

If we become aware of any data breaches we will endeavour to report the breach to the relevant authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.

Finally, if, despite our best endeavours, there is a misuse of your information, you can find out more information from the ICO’s website with regard to raising your concerns.

Children

Children aged 16 or under wishing to provide personal details to us should get their parent/guardian’s permission to do so.

Website

Data is collected from users of websites. This data may have been entered into an online form, or by tracking what you access on our website. The data may subsequently be stored in a database, and/or may be used by cookies. This data is used, for instance, to help us understand how many people use our website, which pages are more relevant than others and how long people spend on each page, etc.

You may refuse to accept cookies by changing the settings on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of the site. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you visit the site.
